[Penta Inside] Penta Security at AWS Summit Seoul 2025
On MAY 14, 2025, Penta Security participated in AWS Summit Seoul 2025, the largest IT conference in Korea. Celebrating its 11th anniversary under the theme “Today of Infinite Possibilities Makes the Future,” the event featured over 110 sessions, 70+ customer case presentations, and more than 60 partner booths, with a strong focus on generative AI and cloud innovation. At the Expo booth, visitors explored major AWS services and cloud-based solutions offered by partners like Penta Security.
Each booth hosted technical consultations, live demonstrations, and real-time Q&A sessions. Penta Security showcased its cloud security solutions to many attendees and engaged visitors through a variety of booth events. Here’s a glimpse of the exciting scenes from the event.
Through its booth, Penta Security showcased its cryptographic platform D.AMO, the cloud-based web firewall WAPPLES SA, and the managed web security SaaS solution Cloudbric WAF+.
✅ D.AMO
D.AMO is Korea’s most widely adopted cryptographic platform, offering robust data protection across diverse IT environments. It delivers comprehensive security capabilities, including key management, access control, auditing, and monitoring, while supporting full-layer encryption throughout IT systems. Powered by advanced encryption technology, D.AMO ensures unrestricted protection across public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud infrastructures as well as all system layers. It is registered in Korea’s largest cloud service provider (CSP) marketplace and supports a wide range of commercial cloud platforms and virtual machines. Additionally, it offers lightweight encryption algorithms optimized for cloud environments, enabling fast and efficient data encryption.
WAPPLES, Korea’s No. 1 web application firewall, is available across all cloud environments, including public and private clouds. WAPPLES SA is a web security solution optimized for virtualized environments. Unlike physical appliance models, it is delivered as a virtual image, while maintaining the same detection, blocking, and operational capabilities as traditional WAPPLES. Designed for cloud-native architectures, WAPPLES SA enables zero downtime and offers a diverse lineup tailored for small, medium, and large-scale virtual environments. Its Multi-Domain NAT capability also allows it to protect multiple web servers using a single public IP address in cloud deployments.
Cloudbric WAF+ is Korea’s first web security SaaS. It requires no agent or module installation and can be deployed instantly by simply updating DNS settings. The platform delivers core web security features—such as a web application firewall, malicious bot mitigation, DDoS protection, threat IP blocking, and SSL/TLS certificates—all in one place.
Even non-security professionals can easily monitor their website’s protection status through an intuitive dashboard. It provides clear visibility into what types of attacks are targeting your website and how frequently they occur.
The booth also featured an event that drew significant attention from visitors. By scanning a QR code and completing a short survey, participants could enter a capsule lottery to win various prizes. According to Penta Security’s survey, nearly half of the respondents (47.7%) identified “cloud security” as the most critical security area. When asked about key factors in choosing a security solution, respondents cited “high security” (37.2%), “cost of implementation and maintenance” (18.4%), and “product awareness” (12.8%) as top considerations. The results reflect a growing recognition of cloud security’s importance, as well as an emphasis on practical value and reliability when selecting security products.
Through this event, Penta Security had the opportunity to engage directly with customers from various industries and hear their real-world concerns. It was a valuable moment to gain deeper insights into the challenges businesses face and their specific technical needs. Building on this feedback, Penta Security will continue to enhance its security technologies and business strategies to better address the evolving demands of cloud security. As an AWS partner, the company also plans to further expand its reach by leveraging AWS’s global sales network and partner ecosystem.
