Penta Security Suggests Cybersecurity Strategy for Global AI & Robotics Market
Penta Security, a specialized cybersecurity company, conducted a presentation session titled “Cybersecurity Strategies for Leading the Global Robot Market in the EU CRA Era” at the ‘AI & Robotics Rookies Day’ hosted by the Korea AI & Robot Industry Association.

‘AI & Robotics Rookies Day’ is an event designed to expand technical exchange and cooperation opportunities among industry, academic, and research stakeholders in the AI and robotics fields. The event centered around pitching sessions where promising companies showcased their innovative business models.
During the presentation, Penta Security emphasized the urgent need for a shift in perception and crisis response among companies preparing to enter the global robot market. In particular, the company highlighted the importance of the ‘Secure by Design’ principle which integrates security from the initial product design stage. The principle takes importance as it complies with the European Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), which is set to take full effect in 2026. Given that the typical development cycle for a robot spans 1.5 to 2 years, the company explained that businesses must initiate security design immediately to secure a competitive edge in global export markets.
Beyond simple technical recommendations, Penta Security clearly pointed out that security is a practical “legal condition for survival,” noting that violations of these regulations can result in fines of up to 2.5% of total global turnover. To address this, the company proposed specific response directions, such as adhering to global certification standards to secure a “fast track” for exports, submitting a Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), and mandating post-market security support.
Furthermore, Penta Security proposed the creation of a security ecosystem involving the public, private, academic, and research sectors. They encouraged reducing the burden of redundant development for companies by ensuring alignment between domestic and international regulations, cultivating professional talent and operating real-world testbeds to improve security standards across the industry, and building data and technology-sharing cooperation models through the formation of CRA response consortiums and the execution of national projects.
Through this session, Penta Security showcased its ‘All-in-One’ support capabilities ranging from consulting and solutions to certification linkage. Penta Security positioned itself as a key partner helping Korean companies safely enter the global AI and robotics market.
“In a global market where AI and robots are becoming daily essentials, security must take top priority,” said Taejoon Jung, Director of the Planning Division at Penta Security. “As a global market partner for AI and robot companies, Penta Security will be a reliable supporter in navigating complex security regulations and strengthening export competitiveness.”
