PENCAKE: 3rd Penta Security Developer Conference and Engineering Conference

Today, we are pleased to share highlights from the 3rd Penta Security Developer Conference and Engineering Conference, “PENCAKE 2025,” held last November.
Now in its third year, the Penta Security Developer Conference is an internal engineering conference. It is designed to strengthen technical capabilities and expand collaboration among R&D professionals. By sharing experiences, participants enhance their practical skills while building meaningful connections. The conference name, PENCAKE (Penta Security Conference Advanced Knowledge Exchange) reflects its purpose as a platform for advanced technical and engineering knowledge sharing within Penta Security.
Developer Conference: Check in to Presentations
From early morning, participants gathered at the venue, checked in at the registration desk, and received their name badges. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement, and participants showed clear enthusiasm even during the check in process.
PENCAKE 2025 officially opened with a keynote address by CEO Kim Tae Gyun. The conference also featured special guest sessions by Director Lee So Young of Microsoft and Kim Gyu Tae, Chief Product Officer of Fount Finance. Director Lee delivered an inspiring talk titled, “Have You Ever Contributed to Someone Else’s Success?” where she highlighted the importance of partnerships and collaboration from an engineering and business perspective. Meanwhile, CPO Kim presented on “Workflow Automation and Efficiency Using AI Tools,” introducing actionable approaches to applying AI technologies.
In the afternoon, the core of PENCAKE unfolded with technical presentation sessions led by Penta Security developers and engineers. During the session, 10 topics were introduced, including quantum cryptography BB84 protocol, an internal software supply chain security system, AI assisted coding, and vibe coding.
PENCAKE delivered a total of ten diverse technical sessions, followed by an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding presentations. Each speaker shared not only technical insights but also firsthand experiences, including successes and failures from real development and engineering projects. Through open Q&A sessions, attendees actively exchanged ideas, and various interactive events throughout the venue further enriched the conference experience.
