As applications diversify and grow ever more complex, the number of login IDs and passwords that an individual must remember continues to increase. The numerous IDs and passwords that an individual must remember can be burdensome. Often individuals re-use the same password, or use passwords such as ‘password,’ ‘12345,’ or ‘qwerty’ that are easy to remember. Unfortunately, such behavior increases an individual’s vulnerability to hackers. Another problem that frequently occurs is that an individual simply forgets his/her password. This problem tends to increase the administrator workload, as the administrator is typically the person responsible for re-setting user passwords.
