Penta Security Systems, Inc. Promise of 10-years

Thank you for your interest in Penta Security Systems.

Our company was founded in 1997 and celebrated its 13th anniversary in 2010. As one of the early pioneers and developers in the security field of our nation, we feel deeply obligated and are committed to nurturing the field of data security. We are focusing all our efforts towards accomplishing this great endeavor as we try to expand our business globally, starting with Japan. We plan to achieve this by adhering to the five core values and three challenges that we have set for ourselves.

Priority of Security Issues

Although security must be the top priority in all security software, delivering the right security capabilities within an increasingly complex IT environment can be very costly. Tremendous research efforts were involved even in all stages of planning and design for our web application firewall detection engine, WAPPLES, in order to perfect its capabilities of protecting against unknown hacker attacks. Many enterprises overlook this issue since it is hard to notice its importance until faced with the actual consequences of an attack. However, this is the most important issue in the modern information technology industry, as this industry is responsible for protecting key customer assets

Quality [Total Software Quality Assurance]

A security software product must have quality assurance, especially if it is a security solution used for crucial business practices. High quality does not merely imply that a product is free of malfunction; it means that the user can trust it to function successfully during its entire life cycle from initial installation, through daily use, and through its ultimate removal. Penta’s “Total Software Quality Assurance” is a companywide quality assurance policy, which guarantees high quality throughout the entire process, from the product’s concept design to end-user customer support, and this in turn provides increased reliability and greater product and service satisfaction

Esthetics and Enjoyment

We believe that Penta Security’s products should be beautiful and attractive in order to provide an enjoyable user experience. In today’s world where corporations and institutions utilize countless hardware and software products, it helps to use a visually pleasing and easily operable product to ensure optimal performance. As such, we have established an expert design team that has worked hard to develop ergonomic and beautiful GUIs since 2000. Developed in 2007, the Penta Design Identity (PDI) is the design standard used for all our products and packaging. As a very practical and effective policy, it considers the balance between engineering elements and esthetic elements to help achieve ease of use in all stages of product development. All products designed since the latter part of 2007 follow PDI protocol.

Ease of Use

Data processing centers are often short on personnel, meaning that complicated software can be a hindrance to productivity. As such, good security software must be easy to use. Penta Security’s products deal with the most difficult and complex part of security infrastructure; consequently, making these products easy to use was a formidable task. Nonetheless, Penta Security’s products are easier to use compared to other products on the market. According to one of our customers, “WAPPLES is the best product for public institutions [with a personnel shortage].”

Originality

Penta does not attempt to recreate that which has already been done successfully. A company that cannot provide originality only adds distress to the field. On the other hand, originality is the key to contributing to society and succeeding in the world market. Penta has considered originality to be one of its core values since its inception. Even with the various changes in the market, Penta Security has never abandoned its pursuit of originality, but instead has emphasized its importance more than ever. All of Penta Security’s products are either first-ever worldwide innovations or products that were conceived from a drastically different ideology compared to other available products on the market. Accordingly, countless numbers of important information infrastructures have utilized our products, such as the PKI platform based Total Infrastructure Security System ISSAC; Siren, the first hybrid IDS for businesses; D’Amo, the first DB encryption and security product to achieve industrial success; and WAPPLES, an Intelligent Web Application Firewall.
